A blend of balance and consistency at the offensive end has helped the Twin Cedars girls basketball team get their season off to a strong start.

From the first game onward, the Sabers have consistently scored between 48 and 60 points per game, while typically spreading the scoring leaders between Ayla Crosby, Alee Hugen and Brittany Roby.

“I think we’re averaging right around 53 to 54 points a game, which is great for us.  We’ve had two or three different girls lead us in scoring in different games so far,” said Twin Cedars head coach Justin Nolte.  “We’ve got a couple players who are averaging double figures in scoring and another averaging around nine points a game, so we’re getting there.”

The Sabers are 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the Bluegrass Conference.  Their schedule resumes on Tuesday, January 3rd in Moravia.
