The nation, indeed the world, turns its eyes to Iowa today as we hold the Iowacaucuses–the first step toward nominating the eventual president of the United States. In 2008, Iowa propelled Barack Obama to the presidency, and this year Republicans hope to nominate the individual who will be his successor. If you plan to caucus this evening, for those who live north of the river in MarionCounty, the Republican caucus will be held at Pella Christian High School and for those south of the river, the Republican Caucus will be at Knoxville High School. There are two locations in the county that will be holding Democrat caucuses as well. People who live south of the river will convene at KnoxvilleMiddle School. Those living north of the river will convene at Lincoln Elementary School in Pella. The doors at caucus locations will open at 6:00 PM, except the for the GOP caucus at Knoxville High School, which will open at 5pm. The Caucus process is scheduled to start at 7:00PM at all locations.
