The final deer season in Iowa starts today. This season is relatively open as far as what equipment can be used to hunt the deer; shotguns, muzzle loaders, handguns and bows are allowed across the state with the southern two rows of counties allowing additional rifles. For this season, party hunting is allowed. To participate in this season hunters must have a 2012 hunting license. The antlerless season will run from the 11th through the 29th.
