45-year-old David Brommel pled not guilty to 2nd degree arson in Marion County District Court Friday morning. The rural Indianola man is accused of setting fire to the Department of Human Services Building in Knoxville on Christmas morning.

According to Marion County Court Documents, security cameras show a man fitting Brommel’s description outside the DHS building shortly before authorities discovered the fire. He has also been accused of harrassing DHS officials in the weeks leading up to the incident.

If convicted, Brommel faces up to 10 years in prison. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 10.
