More than 100 people turned Peace Tree Brewing Company into a standing-room only venue on Monday as they learned about more about the history of rural Marion County. The event, titled ” Johnny Cake Road, The Red Rock Line, and the Town that Saved the Circus: True Stories and some Tall Tales of Historic Rural Marion County”, was put on by the Rural History Buffs of Marion County.

Charlotte Shivvers, with the Rural History Buffs, says that it was a tremendous event. Shivvers says the program made a huge impression on people. She notes many guests commented that the program will motivate them to reconnect and discover their own history. She thanks everyone that helped put the event on and everyone that came out on Monday evening.
