[simage=6816,200,y,left] The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that Sharon Ruth Hopf of Crawfordsville has been located in Texas and is safe with family. Hopf had been missing for almost two weeks after not reporting to her business in Kalona on January 5th.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says that yesterday, family members notified their office that Sharon had contacted them shortly after 8am. Family members were later informed that Sharon was located at a business in Ft. Worth, Texas and that she seemed disoriented. Sharon’s brother, who lives in Dallas, drove to the business and located Sharon. The Ft. Worth Police Department confirmed that Sharon had been found, and was not in need of medical attention. Sharon has been released to the care of her family. Hopf has Knoxville ties with family in the area.

The Washington County Sheriff’s office along with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation would like to thank the Hopf family, volunteers and multiple law enforcement agencies from Iowa, Missouri and Texas in assisting with the Missing Person’s Investigation.
