The Pleasantville community will partner up with Martensdale and St. Mary’s Tuesday evening for their third annual “Hoops for Hope”, Coaches versus Cancer night. The night will include a fundraiser meal, silent auction, contests and a varsity doubleheader between Pleasantville and Martensdale-St. Mary’s – all with the intent of raising money for cancer research. Pleasantville “Hoops for Hope” committee member Kim Friday tells KNIA/KRLS the goal is to raise $5000 this year, which would nearly double last year’s total. Events start with a free-will donation supper at 5pm before the games get underway.
