The Marion County Sheriff’s Office tells KNIA/KRLS that area roadways are up to 100% snow and slush covered and may be slick. Multiple vehicles have slide off of roadways this morning. The Iowa DOT reports that most central Iowa roadways are snow covered. Conditions are worse to the west. County and state plows are in operation. The Knoxville snow ordinance is in effect. The Marion County Sheriff’s office urges drivers to be cautious this morning, take plenty of time, and give our road crews and first responders plenty of room to work.
