Knoxville Mayor Don Zoutte tells KNIA/KRLS News that legendary Hawkeye wrestling coach Dan Gable will be the special guest speaker at the Mayor’s Youth Council Leadership Conference this year. The conference will be on May 5th. Gable is scheduled to speak at 11:30. Gable won 15 national championships as head wrestling coach at the University of Iowa. He also lost just one match during his collegiate wrestling career at Iowa State University and went on to win a gold medal in wrestling during the 1972 Summer Olympics. Zoutte says the location of the conference has yet to be determined.
