A noted author, filmmaker, and songwriter will be visiting the Knoxville Public Library on Wednesday to discuss the history of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Bill Jamerson will present an educational program titled “Dollar-a-Day Boys: A Musical Tribute to the Civilian Conservation Corps” at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Jamerson has significant knowledge about the history of the Corps, having produced a PBS documentary and written multiple novels about it. His programs are considered to be a mix of a book talk and musical concert, involving lots of original music.
