Local racing organizations are working together with Casey’s General Stores and the Knoxville Morning Kiwanis Club to highlight the significance of breakfast at Knoxville Schools. Knoxville Raceway driver Bronsen Maeschen, of Pleasantville, signed autographs for dozens of children at Northstar Elementary on Tuesday morning as Knoxville Raceway, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum, and the Iowa Speedway helped highlight National School Breakfast Week. Casey’s General Stores provided a slice of breakfast pizza to each child. Maeschen also brought his sprint car down, and the Iowa Speedway brought their pace car.

They’ll be doing the same thing on Friday at the High School. Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Director Bob Bakers tells KNIA/KRLS News that this was by far the nicest weather they’ve had in the three years they have helped out with the event, and that he hopes there are a few more young race fans because of it.
