Sign up for the Conservation Reserve Program, or CRP, begins Monday. Marion County FSA Director Angie Vos says that CRP gives area farmers a chance to rest highly erodible cropland without taking a financial hit. The program gives farmers a rental payment to let the land rest for a number of years. The sign-up is for those interested in starting with the program during the 2013 crop year.
