Knoxville Raceway Marketing Director Brian Stickel says that their April 21st season opener will also help out local schools. During the “Race for our Schools” event that night, kids will be admitted for free at the Raceway. For every 15 dollar ticket bought by an adult, five dollars will go to the area school of their choice.

Stickel says that many area schools are already on board. You can get the vouchers you need for the program through your local school. Stickel says opening weekend is quite the event. In addition to the races, there will be live music and a car show. Stickel says their goal is to raise 15,000 dollars for area schools.
