The Pella Opera House is holding the Annual Fair Trade Oriental Rug Event starting today. The event in Pella is sponsored by Work of Our Hands, and will feature handmade rugs from artisans in Pakistan. The traveling exhibit is run in a partnership between Ten Thousand Villages in Pennsylvania, and Bunyaad (Bun-Yahd) a fair trade organization in Pakistan. They will be at the Opera House from Wednesday through Saturday and will host a introduction to oriental rugs seminar Thursday evening.
