One of the strong points of the Knoxville Girls Track and Field squad is the high jump. Junior Chambray Daugherty, who was a state qualifier last season finishing in 19th place will return for another crack at the Blue Oval in Des Moines. Coach Jeremy Van Engen says Daugherty has already improved her height in practice and in the two preseason meets. Daugherty jumped five feet at last night’s Dickinson Relays in Cedar Falls good enough for 12th out of 44 competitors that took jumps. The Panthers first outdoor meet is next Thursday at the Clarke Invitational.
