Friday night’s track meet in Winterset may have been called the “Husky Relays”, but it belonged to the Dutch and Panthers, and Pella High and Knoxville dominated the competition, placing first and second in the team standings.

Pella High finished with 142 points, while Knoxville scored 83 points in the 16-team field. Leading the way for the Little Dutch were gold medal performances in the 100, 800 and 1600 meter runs, as well as the Shuttle Hurdle, 4×400 and 4×800 meter relays. Pella also claimed eight second place finishes.

Knoxville filled in the remaining gaps, garnering first place in the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays, as well as the 200 meter dash and the discus. The Panthers also added a second-place finish and three third place winners to their medal count.

Knoxville runs next on Tuesday when they compete at the PCM Invitational, while Pella High competes on the same evening at Davis County.
