Volunteers hope to have more than 10,000 eggs stuffed in time for this year’s Knoxville Community Easter Egg hunt. The event takes place this Saturday at 1pm at the open grass field on the corner of Madison and Lincoln Streets. The Knoxville Noon Kiwanis Club has headed up this year’s hunt. Jamie Hughes, with the Noon Kiwanis Club, says that kids up to the age of 12 are welcome to participate. She tells KNIA/KRLS News that there will be different sections based on age to help protect the smaller children. Hughes asks those participating Saturday that they use the hospital, high school, and side streets for parking. The Lil’ Big Red Radio will be there as well, playing music and making announcements.
