Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Kingery tells KNIA/KRLS News that four inducted into the Iowa Transportation Heroes Center for their actions and heroics during the January Knoxville school bus accident. Kingery nominated Aaron Huffaker, Cody Long, Brittany Beaver, and Jonathon Beaver for the honer. The four students were praised by multiple emergency response officials after the accident for their quick-thinking. They helped organize younger students and assisted them off the bus after the bus driver had been seriously injured.

The students will be recognized in a ceremony on May 18th at the Spaulding Center for Transportation in Grinnell. The ceremony will be open to the public, and more details will be released in the coming weeks.
