It’s time to get rid of those dangerous household chemicals that you don’t want or need anymore. The South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency is holding a household chemical clean up event Saturday in Pella. Director Sara Bixby tells KNIA/KRLS News the event is free to all residential customers. She says that it’s a convenient way to get dangerous chemicals as well as items like batteries and fluorescent light bulbs to the appropriate treatment facilities. The event is set for 9 a.m. to noon April 14th at the Pella Public Works Complex, 100 Truman Road.
