A Knoxville woman is out of jail on $11,000 bond after being arrested on a variety of drug charges Monday. 28-year-old Keri Green was the passenger and owner of a vehicle that was pulled over at the intersection of Highways 14 and 92 Monday morning. Upon searching the vehicle, Iowa State Troopers found what appeared to be marijuana underneath the front seat.
Green and the male driver were transported to the Marion County Jail. A female jailer searched Green and found she was knowingly attempting to smuggle a meth pipe, meth, and two needles in her underwear into the jail. That led to a possession of contraband charge (a felony) in addition to two possession of a controlled substance charges. Green faces up to five years in prison if convicted on the contraband charge.
