Stiff competition made high event finishes hard to come by Thursday evening for the Twin Cedars girls track and field squad, as the Sabers finished sixth out of thirteen teams in a meet hosted by Pekin. Top finishers for Twin Cedars came from Ayla Crosby in the 100 Meter Dash, Alee Hugen in the 100 Meter Hurdles and the Sabers’ 4×200 Meter Relay team – which all earned fourth place. The team also notched a pair of fifth-place finishes and three sixth-place medals. The Twin Cedars girls are right back at it Saturday with a meet in Oskaloosa.
