The Knoxville City Council approved the vacation of a portion of Harlan Street during their regular meeting last night. The portion that has been vacated is a dead end piece, and Spaun and Rose has bought the pieces on either side of the street as part of an expansion effort. The Council will hold a public hearing on May 7th to consider the sale of that property.

The Council also voted to approve the special event applications for a number of events, including many events that occur during Knoxville Nationals. They also voted to approve engineering services from Veenstra and Kim for a project that would extend the city’s sewer line south of Highway 92 off of Highway 14.
