[simage=5300,200,y,left] Knoxville City Manager Harold Stewart says he’s close to selecting a new Assistant City Manager. Stewart planned to finish interviewing candidates last week and hopes to have the job offered soon. He says that the new Assistant City Manager will have a planning and zoning focus, but will also take on some day-to-day managerial roles. The Knoxville City Council hired Stewart last year in part because of his strength in economic development, something he hopes to have more time to focus on with the new person on staff.
