Freshman Taylor Hill topped the individual standings as the Central College women’s golf team finished its spring season with a runaway 47-stroke victory at the Central Spring Invitational Saturday at Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella.
The Dutch shaved 13 strokes from their opening-round score Saturday, carding a 332 to finish at 667 and claim a decisive victory in the seven-team field. Iowa Conference rival Luther College shot a 714 to finish second while Grinnell College took third.
Hill finished the tournament with a 164, leading a trio of Dutch golfers in the top five. Senior Sarah Paulson was third at 167, wrapping up a stellar career that includes three individual Iowa Conference titles and an all-America recognition. Senior Ali Miller was fifth Saturday, carding a 171. Knoxville native Kaurie Kincaid rounded out Central’s top five with 181, finishing tied for ninth in the 38-player field.
