The Knoxville Boys Soccer squad lost another heartbreaker last night against Newton as the Cardinals got the game winning goal in the second overtime to win 2-1. The Panthers seemingly had the game in hand in regulation until Newton snuck in a goal with 27 seconds remaining in the match. Knoxville’s lone goal came early in the first half on an Alex Dye penalty kick. Knoxville is now 3-8 on the season and 0-5 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Panther girls lost 5-0 to Newton last night. Knoxville drops to 0-10 on the season and 0-5 in the conference.
