Pella Christian’s Band Instructor, Ron Zwiers, is retiring after a 43 year career. Zwiers taught at Unity Christian from 1969 to 1984, then taught at Pella Chrisitian for the remainder of his career. He says he was orginally a History Major in college, and he switched to Music because you couldn’t have a History Major and a Music Minor. He first considered teaching after a speaker in his sixth grade class said teachers were in high demand. A Retirement Festival will be held for Zwiers on Sunday.
