Marion County Auditor Jake Grandia says that absentee ballots are now available for the June 5th primary. Marion County residents that will not be in the county on the first Tuesday in June are encouraged to cast their vote as soon as their minds are made up. The pre-registration deadline is Saturday, May 26th. Grandia comments that same-day voter registration is also available, but pre-registering at the Courthouse is a little bit easier process and makes things go faster on Election Day. The Auditor’s Office will be open on that Saturday to register voters. For more information about where to vote and the registration process, call the Auditor’s Office at 842-2217.
