Westridge Nursing and Rehab in Knoxville is hosting a number of activities this week to bring awareness to nursing facilities as part of National Nursing Home Week. Activities Director Marlene Edwards says that they had about 100 singers from North Star in earlier this week and held their weekly bowling competitions. She notes that what she’s most excited for is the Roaring ‘20s Party being held Friday afternoon, including ‘20s-style music and food. Edwards says that the activates engage the residents and keep them active and healthy. She adds that guests are welcome to activities all week. For more information, call 842-3153.
