The Knoxville School Board received a presentation from West Elementary Preschool teachers on the four-year-old preschool program during last week’s school board meeting. The teachers stressed how they use hands-on learning in order to help children develop. The two-year-old program involves children both with and without special needs, something the teachers say helps children develop acceptance of differences from an early age. The program had around 100 children this year.
