The AFRAID bike ride across Iowa took place on Saturday. Riders working to benefit Bethany Christian Services in Pella rode across Iowa on Highway 92 starting in Council Bluffs and ending in Muscatine. They passed through Knoxville around 2:45. The riders have different reasons for helping Bethany. Josh Cowman serves on the board at Bethany, after being helped with an adoption plan himself. Wes Chaplin, creator of the ride, says he likes to push the limits of his endurance, and thought that he should benefit a good service while he does so.
