Knoxville Veterans Alliance Project Manager Mike Roberts says that much progress has been made at the VA Campus over the last four-to-five weeks. Roberts tells KNIA/KRLS News that the first official board meeting was held this week, and that things continue to look positive as the project moves forward. Roberts notes that there is interest in the laundry facility, as well as in Building Four and the greenhouse as well. He says that a five-year lease has been signed that allows the Veterans Alliance to market the campus, and he expects the full lease to be signed within the next couple of months.

Roberts says that there are a few potential tenants that would be ready to start renovating as soon as the lease is signed. He says they continue to market the campus at a state-wide level right now, and will eventually move more nation-wide in the future.
