Final interviews will take place Wednesday for the position of Knoxville Fire Chief. Three finalists have been named – Ben Truetken and Lee Richardson, both of Knoxville, as well as Andrew Pieri of Woodstock, Illinois. The candidates will take part in an open house from 4-5pm Wednesday afternoon where the public is invited to meet them and ask questions.

City Manager Harold Stewart says that the three candidates will also take part in a comprehensive test Wednesday morning before being interviewed by both the hiring committee and Stewart himself. Stewart tells KNIA/KRLS News that he’ll take into account the results of the tests and interviews as well as public consideration from the open house before making a final decision.
