The State Appeals Board has ruled in favor of the PCM School District after protesters appealed their 2013 budget. The protesters, led by Christie Scarnati, brought in the appeals board for a hearing last month. They claimed the school district was mismanaging its funds, citing instances of theft by school employees among other things. The district’s defense said these claims were personal in nature, and had nothing to do with the current budget. The appeals board did say that the some aspects of the budget were understated, and some overstated, and that the district should present their true estimates in the future.
