Marion County has received about 1.67 inches of rain so far this month, including the 0.48 inches we received last night. Despite the fresh rainfall, that’s still well behind the average of 4.73 inches of rain for the month of June. If this pace holds, this would be the second consecutive month we’d be more than an inch below normal in the area. Last month, we were close to two inches lower than our normal amount. The dry conditions are quite different than last June, when received more than 13 inches of rain during the month, including almost six inches in one day. The next chance of rain appears to be throughout the weekend.
