Sweet corn season is underway! That’s what Dan-D Farms owner Dan Dennison tells KNIA/KRLS News. Dennison says that they’ll be picking their first batch of sweet corn today and selling it this weekend at their stand on the south edge of Knoxville. He says that this early batch looks very good, as they’ve received rain at about the right times to make it work. You can also check out local farmers’ markets as well, as many farmers from across the state have been starting to harvest their early sweet corn as well as strawberries. Dennison says his strawberries will be ready to go sometime next month.
