A trial has been pushed back for a Knoxville man accused of sexual abuse. A plea hearing had been set for Friday for 22-year-old Michael Joseph McVey, who already had pled not guilty in April on the charges; instead, McVey waved his right to a speedy trial. McVey is charged with 3rd degree sexual abuse after being accused of forcing a woman into sexual contact last year. The trial date of July 24th has been postponed. McVey will appear next on July 13th for a pretrial conference.
