The National Weather Services reports hot and humid conditions will continue through the work week with highs in the mid 90s to around 100, and heat indices of 105 to 110 degrees. In addition, low temperatures will only fall into the mid to upper 70s overnight, providing little relief from the heat. There is a chance for thunderstorms to the north Thursday, with additional chances for precipitation returning Friday night through the weekend for the rest of the area as a boundary pushes south. Cooler temperatures are on tap for next week behind the boundary, with high temperatures returning to near normal for early July.
