The Pella Fire Department responded to reports of a grass fire that was making its way towards a home around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon. The fire, on Country Club Road in Pella, next to the Pella Golf and Country club, turned out to be nothing major. Part of the homes garden was smoldering and smoking. The Pella Fire Department put water down on the garden until it stopped smoking. The Pella Fire Department and Pella Ambulance responded to the scene.
