The Des Moines LifeServe Blood Center, which serves Pella Regional Health Center along with many other Iowa Hospitals, is holding a blood drive in Pella on Monday. Iowa Blood Banks have been running short on blood this summer with some blood banks reporting half of their normal holdings for this time of the year. The Red Cross has been in emergency low blood levels this summer as well. The blood drive will take place at Peace Lutheran Church from 1:30 to 6:30 on Monday.
