A home has been destroyed but no one is injured after a fire northeast of Melcher-Dallas this afternoon. The fire was at a home near the 2000 block of 60th Ave., near the intersection of 60th and Rutledge. A neighbor tells KNIA/KRLS that he saw the flames, called 911 and helped make sure that everyone in the home was evacuated. At its peak, flames were reported to have been shooting through the roof of the home. Melcher-Dallas Fire, Pleasantville Fire, Columbia Fire, Lacona Fire and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. There has been no announcement of a cause at this time.
