The City of Pleasantville is asking citizens to limit water usage. This includes all watering of lawns, filling of swimming pools, and all other unnecessary water use. City Administrator Joe Mrstik says that water usage is nearly twice what it normally is, having jumped from an average of 200,000 gallons per day to 380,000 gallons per day this week. He says the amount of water being distributed by the city is putting a strain on equipment. If this usage continues, Mrstik warns that it could cause a disruption in the water supply.
