A valiant Knoxville comeback in the late innings last night was not enough to push the Panthers over the hump against Raccoon Valley in the semi-finals of the state Little League Tournament as Knoxville lost 9-6. Knoxville fell behind 6-0 before the Panthers scored four runs in the fifth, however, Raccoon Valley plated four of its own in the sixth to make it 9-4 and Knoxville got two more runs across to make the final 9-6. Rylan Cox was the big bat for Knoxville getting a double and two R-B-I. Also batting in runs were Tyler Vaske and Luke Hawkshead. Knoxville will now drop into the third place game this evening at six.
