Art 101 in Knoxville is hosting a guest artist and art exhibition this weekend. Co-owner Frank Mathias says artist Andrew Carter uses the acrylic medium to create a colorful, abstract view on the world. Carter held a painting demo and an adult teaching session yesterday.

Today, Carter will be teaching children six and older how to paint. That session costs $15 and will last from 1-3pm. He’ll also host an artist reception from 5-8pm at Art 101. That reception is free; appetizers and drinks will be provided.
