Semi-retired Jason Meyers of Clovis, California won the second night of qualifying at the 52nd Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals last night. Meyers took the lead on a restart on lap 8 and led the rest of the way. Tim Shaffer was second with Kraig Kinser third, Stevie Smith in fourth and Lance Dewease came home fifth.

The top 16 starers are now locked into the championship race Saturday night. Smith will start on the pole for Saturday’s A-Main as he scored the most points of any driver with 479, Craig Dollansky will start alongside Smith on the front row of the championship race. Tonight, four more starters will be added to the A-Main as the top four finishers from the feature race tonight will fill in spots 17-20.
