A Marion County Jury returned a guilty verdict against Randall Clay Rife yesterday on domestic abuse assault charges. Sentencing is scheduled for September 14th, where the state will seek a prison term. Assistant County Attorney Nicole Olson prosecuted the case. She thanks the jury for their service and the Sheriff’s Department for their work. She also commends the victim for having the courage to face her attacker.

County Attorney Ed Bull says Olson is steadfast in her dedication to protect and defend the rights of victims, and he thanks her for that. He also adds that new Assistant County Attorney Ben Hayek assisted Olson on the case. Bull says Hayek demonstrated he will be a wonderful compliment to the attorney’s office. Rife faces up to two years in prison.
