The Pella City Council met last night and approved the first reading of two ordinances. The first ordinance would allow personal improvement services to place signage on the front of buildings in the central business district, which is currently restricted to the back of the buildings. The other ordinance deals with building additional structures on a property that already has a main building. The council also discussed a new logo for the South Water Tower, and a new layout for parking in the downtown, which would add spaces on Franklin St.
