Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada reminds motorists in Knoxville to be careful as the school year continues. The closure of Pleasant Street has changed traffic patterns, and Losada says that the intersection of Lincoln and Robinson is even busier than normal. He says coming around to Madison Street may be quicker for some parents and students driving, as it may take two or three light cycles for traffic on Robinson Street to clear the lights.

Losada also says that drivers need to be vigillent as more students are walking to-and-from school in the nice weather. He adds that drivers will need to be especially patient and careful at that Lincoln and Robinson intersection, as that’s where lots of middle school students will cross the stree when school is beginning or ending.
