Pleasantville superintendent Bob Miller says a lot went on behind the scenes in order to get the Middle and High School building ready for this school year. The school district finished up a renovation of their heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system at that building this summer. The building now has a hot water heat system rather than a steam heat system, and window air conditioners were removed from the old part of the building and replaced by a central air conditioning system. Miller says the contractor did a great job installing the system and custodial staff was wonderful in ensuring everything was ready and clean before the school year began.
