The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh racked up 524 yards and 41 points – in the first half, en route to a 47-28 victory over Central College Saturday afternoon in the season opener for both football teams. The Titans bolted to a 41-0 halftime lead and led 47-0 before the Dutch scored four times in the final 18 minutes to make the final score respectable. Oshkosh senior quarterback Nate Wara threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for 118 yards and two scores before being lifted just one series in to the second half. Central mustered little offense before their final four drives all resulted in rushing touchdowns – two by senior quarterback Jack Flaherty, one by sophomore quarterback Aaron Eiseler, and the other by tailback De’Andre Currie. Central starts the season 0-1, and returns to Pella for the home opener next Saturday against Augustana of Illinois.
