The Knoxville City Council swore in new police officer Lance Eysink during their regular meeting yesterday. Eysink is a 24-year-old Pella High graduate. He graduated from Indian Hills Community College with a degree in criminal justice and has previously worked as a jailer for Marion County. He’ll spend 12 weeks in training and another 12 weeks at the police academy. The Council also voted to stock some items for the new ambulance that Knoxville Fire/Rescue will receive tomorrow.
